Welcome to the new home of Balance Point Education
Balance Point Education specializes in educating coaches, health care workers, fitness clubs, and athletes in the use of various physiological assessment and training tools. The Balance Point Education group offers professionals an opportunity for certification courses using the Biomarker Assessment System.
The Biomarker Assessment method, is based upon the work of Juerg Feldmann at FaCT Canada, and gives athletes sport specific blood lactate analysis, as the first step to a deeper understanding of exercise physiology and the science behind successful training. The basis of the Biomarker Assessment is a Heart Rate vs Lactate test to establish heart rates used for training and racing. Lactate Biomarker Assessment (LBA) results are used to establish a client's baseline fitness, to prescribe an effective individualized training program, and to monitor improvements over time. Whether your client is an elite athlete, or an individual wanting to re-establish their health and fitness, a Biomarker Assessment Certified Professional can help meet those needs.
After successfully training dozens of athletes previously using the FaCT system, we have now developed and expanded our courses to include a more comprehensive multi-tiered system of Modules. Each course is designed to present a theoetical Module open to all interested athletes, coaches and clinicians. Following successful completion of the Theory Module, individuals are invited to complete the Technical and Practical Modules, which will lead to Certification. We are currently working on an interactive website to allow open discussions between various clients, and to allow our instructors to discuss topics openly with students enrolled in the on-line Modules.
The first course that will be offered, will be the Lactate Biomarker Assessment Theory Module, previously known as FaCT Level I. Along with this new course, we will also be providing an updated and more comprehensive software package for athletes and coaches.
